EDINBURGH DEMO AGAINST PRIVATISATION OF SERVICES

Demo against privatisation of Edinburgh Council Services
(with possible occupation)
At Council meeting this Thursday 27th, demo from 8.30am onwards, meeting
starts 10am
At Council Chambers, High St
Environmental Services, including refuse collection and street cleansing,
plus other services face privatisation.  This would mean redundancies,
attacks on wages and conditions plus worse services.
Demo called by UNISON but this affects all Edinburgh citizens and we hope
as many people as possible will be there and be prepared to take as strong
action as possible to stop this attack.

EDINBURGH COALITION AGAINST POVERTY is based at the Autonomous Centre of Edinburgh (ACE), an open campaign space, infoshop and wholefoods co-op, providing resources and solidarity. Resources available include computer/internet access, cheap copying, free leaflets, books, pamphlets and mags for sale, a small wholefoods shop, and a library.
